There were also $1,366.74 donated in cash for the event. Watts said about 2,000 people will be helped this holiday season due to the donations! He also said at last check, 1,000 dozen doughnut vouchers were redeemed. That’s about 2,280,000 calories consumed of delicious doughnuts, Watts said.

Each year countless people take part if this event where you give and receive. By donating at least five non-perishable food items or $5 cash, you get a coupon for a free dozen Krispy Kreme donuts that’s good any time.

Watts says the food collected Tuesday will help feed people on our community through April.
