HBO movie shot in Wilmington debuts this weekend

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington-shot movie makes its premiere this weekend.

“Mary and Martha” debuts Saturday night on HBO.

Oscar-winner Hilary Swank and Oscar-nominee Brenda Blethyn star in the story of two mothers who forge a unique bond after traumatic events in Africa bring them together.

Part of the movie was filmed in the Port City last year.
