Highway Patrol identifies driver killed in fiery FedEx crash
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Highway Patrol has identified the driver of the FedEx truck killed in a fiery crash on I-40.
Ronald Glenn Nash, II, 35, was killed when the truck he was driving slammed into the back of a tractor trailer. The FedEx truck caught on fire. Nash had a Red Springs address.
The crash caused the tractor trailer to hit a wrecker, the wrecker then hit a car.
No one else had serious injuries.
The crash shut down the westbound lanes near exit 414 for about three hours.
