Hospitality Olympics offers friendly competition and fun

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –A lot of fun, games and beers is how one hospitality group spent their Sunday afternoon while also raising money for Cape Fear Community College.

Wilmington Area Hospitality Association held their 2nd Annual Hospitality Olympics at Waterline Brewery Sunday. The Wilmington Area Hospitality Association President Molly Johnson said about ten teams competed in the different hospitality themed games. All of the groups were made up of local hotels, attractions, restaurants and bars.

“I just love the camaraderie. I love the competitive spirit, but everyone is here to have fun. A lot of people have worked together in the past, so they might not have seen each other in a while,” Johnson said. “So the hospitality community is a fun community and they’re just happy to be here.”

The goal was to raise $5,000 to go towards the hospitality program at Cape Fear Community College.
