Ingram fills Batten’s seat on Sheriff’s Training and Standards Commission

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff John Ingram is filling the seat on the NC Sheriff’s Education and Training and Standards Commission left empty when former Columbus County Sheriff Chris Batten retired.

Batten stepped down earlier this month to work full time for Training and Standards. That meant he could no longer hold a seat on the Commission.

Ingram will take over the the District 7 seat, as voted on by the ten sheriffs in the district, which includes Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, Cumberland, Carteret, Onslow, Sampson, Pender, Robeson and Bladen Counties.
