Investigators say Normandy Drive shooting was murder-suicide

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s Detectives now say the shooting death of two people earlier this week was a murder/suicide.

Detectives say Eduard Nagel shot his stepdaughter Valerie Kelly four times Monday with a .38 caliber handgun before turning the gun on himself. Both people died from their wounds at the home on Normandy Drive.
