It’s time to ‘Help for the Holidays’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Canned goods translate to donuts in Wilmington tomorrow.

WWAY is teaming with 103.7 The Bone and Krispy Kreme for the Salvation Army’s Help for the Holidays food drive. All you have to do is bring five canned goods or a five-dollar donation to the Krispy Kreme on South College Road in Wilmington and get a coupon for a dozen donuts.

Krispy Kreme general manager Rick Phelps says he enjoys helping out those in need.

“A lot of people need it,” Phelps said. “There’s a lot of people that aren’t working and a lot of people that just can’t afford everyday things, and this is just a way to help, especially during this time of year.”

You can bring your donations to Krispy Kreme from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m tomorrow. Some of our folks will be there during the day to help collect your items.
