Jay Ross all-stars play Wilmington PD Saturday in benefit basketball game
WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY)– Jay Ross and the Port City Stars will play a benefit basketball game on Saturday at Brogden Hall in Wilmington. Ross is a graduate of New Hanover High School. This is just one example of how the Wilmington resident continues to give back to his community. Last week the Green Bay Packer defensive end hosted a free two day football camp in Wilmington.

Saturday’s game will benefit the Wilmington PD Rec Association. The Wilmington Police Recreation Association is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit Public Charity. Contributions to the Association are deductible under Section 170 of the Code. The Association is dedicated to the advancement of the Wilmington Police Department’s image and the well-being of the community. The Association achieves this purpose through sponsorship of youth athletic teams, providing holiday food baskets for the elderly and needy, public education and safety projects, and other charitable contributions.
