Kids make their voices heard

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Kids are not letting this election day go by without making their voices heard.

Some junior voters turned out at the Northeast Library on Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington to cast their ballots. Of course the votes don’t count, but the children were able to vote for the same candidates that everyone else gets to vote for except the judges.

The goal is to have kids experience the voting process, so that when they’re 18, they will carry on their civic duty.
