Kure Beach town officials break ground on new renovations

KURE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — An exciting morning in Kure Beach as town officials broke ground on upgrades to its town hall, police building, and fire station.

Town hall will be expanded to add offices, additional document vaults, and a larger council room.

The police building will be expanded into the current fire station and a new fire station will be built.

The traffic and parking layout will be redesigned to add 48 new parking spaces.

The project is expected to take a year to complete and should serve the town’s needs for the next 25 years.
