Legion Post 68 holds annual fundraiser for Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The American Legion John E. Jacobs Post 68 Riders held their annual summer cookout fundraiser Aug. 1 at Shipwreck Harley-Davidson in Wilmington.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina in Lake Waccamaw, a nonprofit that provides residential care and support services for children and families.
Shipwreck Harley-Davidson provided the food, drinks and event equipment, while members of the Post 68 Riders prepared and served the meals.
The Post 68 Riders, based in Leland and chartered in 2018, are part of the American Legion Riders organization, which supports veterans and community programs through fundraising, ceremonial events and volunteer service.
