Leland to host second ‘Let’s Talk Leland’ community forum July 29

LELAND, NC (WWAY NEWS) — Residents will have an opportunity to speak directly with town leaders during Leland’s second “Let’s Talk Leland” community forum on July 29.
The town hall-style event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fire Station 51.
Mayor Brenda Bozeman and Councilmember Veronica Carter will attend the forum, which is designed to encourage open conversations between residents and town leadership. The event will begin with a social gathering from 6 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session through 8 p.m.
“We were thrilled with the response to our first Let’s Talk Leland event and the meaningful conversations it created with our residents,” Bozeman said. “I’m excited to continue that momentum and welcome the community back for our second event as we work together to shape Leland’s future.”
Residents can submit questions during the event and may provide contact information to receive responses to any unanswered questions by email.
Town officials say the Let’s Talk Leland series is part of an ongoing effort to promote transparency, accessibility and community engagement. Additional forums featuring other council members are planned throughout the year.
