Lidl grocery store among new tenants coming to Independence Mall

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some big names are headed to Wilmington’s Independence Mall.

Brookfield Properties is doing major renovations to the property and a spokeswoman confirms the grocery store Lidl will be a new tenant.

It will be joined by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Five Below Ulta and several restaurants – Blaze Pizza, Jersey Mike’s, First Watch and Walk Ons.

That spokeswoman says renovations are still underway.
