Local food bank spins new twist on telethons
Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina will stream a live show on its website for 24 hours straight.
It’s a new twist on an old fashion telethon. During the 24 hours, those logging on will have the chance to participate in a Social Media Mixer, watch live interviews and be entertained.
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is based in Raleigh, but all branches across the state will benefit from the event.
