Longtime Wilmington residents remember JFK assassination

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — President Barack Obama has ordered flags lowered at government buildings today as the country marks the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

Even after half a century, the memories of that day and what happened in Dallas, TX, are still fresh in the minds of many people who lived through those historic times.

WWAY NewsChannel 3’s Daniel Seamans talked to some longtime Wilmington residents of their memories of that day and how the Port City reacted to the death of the president.
