Man arrested after allegedly firing gun inside home near Wilmington Christian Academy

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he fired a weapon inside a home on Nolad Drive near Wilmington Christian Academy.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s office, Joshua David Allen was arrested on Monday. Deputies say the situation began around 2:30pm when two people approached and knocked on his door.
Allen has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of discharge of firearms, one count of resisting arrest, one count of driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without displaying a license plate.
As a precaution Wilmington Christian Academy was put on lockdown and was determined clear around 3 p.m.
No injuries were reported, Allen’s first court appearance is set for Tuesday at 2 p.m.
