Man arrested for cable theft

BLADEN COUNTY, (WWAY) — If you get a cable bill in the mail and don’t know why, you might want to open it. A Bladenboro man is accused of setting up cable accounts under other people’s names.

Officials say 48-year-old Darryl McMaster faces 92 charges in connection to the fraud. Deputies say that Time Warner Cable didn’t find out about the crime for about three months because the victims threw their bills away.

McMaster is also reportedly wanted in Virginia for similar crimes.

He’s in the Bladen County Jail under a $92,000 secured bond.
