Man charged with sex crimes with a minor

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Onslow County authorities have arrested a man and charged him with sex crimes with a minor.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s office says Willis Lee Griffin, Jr. was arrested on July 18, 2014, for Statutory Sex Offense against a person who is 13, 14, 15 Years Old, Indecent Liberties with a Child, and Sexual Battery.

Deputies say Griffin, 43, committed the crimes on June 8, 2014.

Griffin is being held on a $150,000 unsecured bond.
