Man dead after car crash in Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — One man is dead after losing control of his vehicle Saturday afternoon in Carolina Beach.

According to the Carolina Beach Fire Department, the man was driving a four-door pickup truck on Dow Road Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, flipped multiple times and crashed into a wooden pole. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

First responders arrived on scene and transported the man to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Carolina Beach Police and Fire Departments have not issued the man’s name at this time and continue to investigate the cause of the accident and any contributing factors.
