Man wanted in North Carolina arrested in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in southern Arizona say they have arrested a fugitive who’s wanted in North Carolina for kidnapping and indecent liberties with a child.

Pima County Sheriff’s officials say the Concord Police Department in North Carolina asked them to find 21-year-old Lindon Claridge, who reportedly was living in Tucson.

Detectives from the sheriff’s Fugitive Investigative Strike Team arrested Claridge at a Tucson home Thursday morning.

He was transported to the county’s Adult Detention Complex and is expected to be extradited to North Carolina.

Authorities didn’t immediately release details of Claridge’s case.
