Meeting Monday night for Halyburton Park’s prescribed burn plan

Folks who live near Wilmington’s Halyburton Park can get information Monday night about a prescribed burn planned for early next year.

The burn is part of a comprehensive prescribed burn plan for the park. Crews will burn about 15 to 20 acres some time in January or February. There was a similar burn last winter.

Residents can learn more about the burn at a meeting Monday night at Halyburton Park on South 17th Street. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
