Deputies: Mom tries to drown four children in bathtub in Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a woman who they say attempted to drown her four children in a bathtub Wednesday.

At 11:55 a.m., Pender County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address in the 9400 block of NC Hwy 11 regarding a mother who was reportedly attempting to drown her four children in a bathtub.

Following the investigation, 29-year-old Aeisha Milton, a Mount Olive resident, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted first degree murder. The children range in age from 10 months to 3 years. The children were taken to Pender Memorial Hospital and have since been released.

Milton is currently being processed into the Pender County Jail. According to the jail website, Milton is under no bond.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be released.
