MPO wants input on future transportation plans

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Mapping out our transportation needs for the future, that’s what is currently underway but your input is needed.

The Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization is drawing up their Cape Fear moving forward plan up to year 2045.

They need to renew their transportation plans and want public input on key issues with things like roads, waterways, four wheel, two wheel, rail or runway modes of transportation.

They will take public input up until July 31.

“We look at the full gamut when we develop this long range plan that addresses all modes of transportation,” Mike Kozlosky said. “We’re updating this plan every five years but this plan is critical in the projects that are implemented in our region.”

You can check out an online interactive map to comment on issues you’d like to see addressed.
