Museum of Coastal Carolina begins accepting sponsorships for annual event, ‘Festival of Trees’

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Museum of Coastal Carolina is now accepting sponsorships for its seventh annual Festival of Trees.

The holiday event gives local businesses and organizations an opportunity to participate in the festival while supporting the Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium.

The museum will provide each sponsor with a tree to decorate. The decorated trees will be displayed at the museum and placed in a silent auction, with sponsors receiving the full winning bid for their tree.

Guests can also purchase ballots to vote for their favorite tree. Proceeds from ballot sales will be split between the museum and the sponsor of the winning tree.

The entry deadline is Sept. 28. Tree setup will take place Nov. 8-10.

The Festival of Trees will be open to the public from Nov. 12 through Dec. 31. The winner of the Favorite Tree contest will be announced at 2 p.m. Dec. 28.
