Museum of Coastal Carolina to host 7th annual Festival of Trees in Ocean Isle Beach

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Museum of Coastal Carolina is getting into the holiday spirit with its seventh annual Festival of Trees, featuring decorated Christmas trees that will help raise money for local organizations and causes.
The festival opens Nov. 12 and runs through Dec. 31, transforming the museum’s galleries into a holiday display filled with uniquely decorated trees sponsored by local organizations and community groups.
This year’s participating trees will support several local causes, including the Old Bridge Historical Society, Brunswick Family Assistance and Foster BrunsCo.
Each tree will be available through a silent auction, with 100% of the winning bid going to the tree’s sponsor to donate to its chosen organization or cause.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite decorated tree. Each museum guest will receive one ballot with admission, and additional ballots will be available for purchase.
The tree receiving the most votes will be named the festival’s Favorite Tree, with the winner announced Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
In addition to enjoying the holiday displays, visitors can explore the museum’s regular exhibits and educational programs throughout the festival.
The Festival of Trees will remain on display through Dec. 31.
