N.C. State to name Reynolds Coliseum court for Kay Yow
RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University is naming the court at Reynolds Coliseum in honor of long-time women’s basketball coach Kay Yow.
The court will be christened “Kay Yow Court” prior to her team’s game against second-ranked North Carolina tonight.
In her 32 years as head coach of the Wolfpack Women, Yow has led her teams to 644 victories. For her career, she has 701 victories.
Yow was forced to take a leave of absence in November after her doctor detected a progression of her breast cancer. Yow missed 16 games before announcing her comeback on January 22nd.
