NASCAR determines springs confiscated from Kyle Busch are legal

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — NASCAR says the springs it confiscated from the Kyle Busch's Number Five Busch Series Chevrolet after last weekend's race at Daytona International Speedway are legal.

A NASCAR spokeswoman says the front springs were taken from the car Busch drove in the Winn Dixie 250 for being "slightly under" the minimum allowed by rule were remeasured at the research and development center in North Carolina.

The remeasurement showed the springs were within the allowable tolerance.
