NC commercial fishing license board meeting rescheduled to Oct. 29

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries Standard Commercial Fishing License Eligibility Board has rescheduled its meeting to Oct. 29.

The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. by conference call. It was originally scheduled for next Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The board will consider commercial fishing license applications that were deemed complete and submitted by Sept. 21.

Members of the public can listen by calling 919-212-5733. Callers are asked to mute themselves and not announce their names to avoid disrupting the meeting.

The meeting can also be heard at the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Wilmington Regional Office at 127 Cardinal Drive Extension.

The board meets two to three times a year to review license applications.

Information about applying for a commercial fishing license is available through the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s eligibility pool website.
