NC, SC House leaders join Republican group’s advisory team
RALEIGH, NC (AP) – Two of the highest ranking Republican politicians in the Carolinas are joining the advisory board of a conservative political group that recruits and trains GOP political candidates.
Republican political action committee GOPAC said Monday that North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore and South Carolina House Majority Leader Bruce Bannister will be part of its Legislative Leaders Advisory Board this year.
They’ll promote GOP ideas by addressing elected officials, candidates and members at GOPAC events.
Moore, Bannister and other board members nominate promising state legislators as emerging GOP leaders and keep the organization updated on major legislative and political developments in their states.
