NC police find meth lab in motel
BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police in a North Carolina city are seeking two people suspected of operating a methamphetamine lab in a motel room. Police also said a fire from the operation severely damaged the room.
The Times-News of Burlington reports that police said the lab was the first confirmed meth lab discovered in Burlington. Warrants have been drawn to charge the pair with manufacturing a controlled substance and other counts when they are arrested.
Police say a flash fire melted a light fixture and damaged the bed, night stands and carpet.
Guests in the motel were evacuated after a maid found the mess and police were called.
