NCDOT schedules lane closures for maintenance work on Wilmington road

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers in Wilmington can expect intermittent lane closures on part of 16th Street beginning May 13 as the North Carolina Department of Transportation conducts maintenance work.

According to NCDOT, one lane of 16th Street between Church Street and Queens Street will be closed for curb and gutter repair, shoulder reconstruction and sidewalk repair.

The lane closures are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Officials said the work is expected to be completed by May 29.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
