Nearly 500 Duke Energy customers without power Thursday morning

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some Duke Energy customers in Wilmington lost power early Thursday morning because a vehicle damaged equipment near Oleander Drive.

According to Duke Energy’s outage map, around 475 customers were affected in the area between Floral Parkway and College Rd.

New Hanover County Dispatch said they had a call about an accident around 1 a.m. at the intersection of 41st St. and Oleander Drive. No injuries were reported.

As of 5 a.m., estimated power restoration time was scheduled for 6:15 a.m.
