Nearly 900 Duke Energy customers affected by power outage in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Around 890 customers are without power early Friday morning in downtown Wilmington.

According to Duke Energy’s outage map, the outages are between Orange St. and Queen St. and 2nd and 6th Streets.

There is no reason given for the outages and New Hanover County Dispatch said they have not gotten any reports of accidents in the area.

Duke has the estimated restoration time posted as 8:30 a.m.
