Warrant: Columbus Co. animal shelter director points pistol at victim during dispute
COLUMBUS COUNTY (WWAY) — Columbus County Animal Control Director Loretta Shipman was arrested Saturday following a domestic dispute.
She is charged with assault by pointing a gun, second-degree trespassing, and injury to personal property of more than $200.
WWAY obtained Shipman’s arrest warrant Wednesday with new details about the case.
According to the arrest warrant, Shipman went to the victim’s property after being told not to. She reportedly damaged a gold chain necklace and pointed a pistol at the victim.
She was released from jail Tuesday on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
