New Hanover Co. wages less than state, national averages

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Commission approved the second phase of its comprehensive plan tonight.

The second part was about existing conditions in New Hanover County and looking toward our future. The plans second phase is one with an eye on population, the economy, and other things like parks and recreation.

“It’s a very detailed and tailored report for our community. It will be an asset that many groups and organizations can use for many years to come,” said Jennifer Rigby, a long range planner for the county. There is a lot of information in the report too.

The idea is that by 2015 the entire comprehensive plan will be in place and folks who worked on the plan can make recommendations to our elected leaders.
