New Hanover County reaches agreement with Cheetah Gentlemen’s Club
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County has reached an agreement with Cheetah Gentlemen’s Club over a parking dispute.
The disagreement began when New Hanover County Commissioners voted to declare eminent domain over the gentlemen’s club off of south college road. The club is next door to county headquarters. The county claimed it needed the extra parking spaces on the club’s lot.
Commissioners later rescinded their plans to declare eminent domain, but an official agreement has not been reached until now.
An agreement between the owner of the gentlemen’s club, Jerry Reid, and county attorneys was signed March 22. The agreement establishes that the county can use the parking spaces for free, Monday through Friday.
The agreement expires December 18.
