New Target in Myrtle Grove set to open May 17

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new Target store in the Myrtle Grove area is set to open May 17.

The store, located at 5623 Carolina Beach Road, is part of the company’s broader plan to open more than 30 new locations in 2026, including six stores launching this May across Arizona, Missouri, New Jersey and North Carolina.

This will be Target’s second location in Wilmington.

The Myrtle Grove store spans approximately 128,000 square feet and is expected to employ around 140 team members. It will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The store will also feature a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks café.

According to the company, the new location will offer an expanded fresh food selection and a beach-focused assortment, catering to customers heading to nearby Carolina Beach.
