WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new traffic signal at the main entrance to Bradley Creek Elementary School on Greenville Loop Road is now operational as of Thursday, July 2. The signal features a button-activated pedestrian crossing designed to improve safety and traffic flow for both drivers and pedestrians.
The signal had been operating in flashing mode since last week to give motorists time to adjust before becoming fully active.
The installation is part of the City of Wilmington’s ongoing Greenville Loop Road multi-use path project. Once completed, the trail will connect South College Road and Holly Tree Road to Greenville Avenue and Park Avenue, linking existing trails and bike routes. Construction along Greenville Loop Road is expected to continue for several months. For more information, visit the official project website.
