New walking tour highlights murals across Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Visitors can now discover the Pleasure Island’s public art scene through the Carolina Beach Mural Photo Tour.
Created and guided by Andrea Cannistraci, a founding board member of the Carolina Beach Mural Project, the one-hour walking tour takes guests to eight stunning murals while sharing the stories behind the artwork, the artists who created it, and the history of the mural project that has transformed Carolina Beach into an outdoor art gallery.
Cannistraci said the experience doubles as a professional photo session. She’ll photographs guests with her professional camera, posing individuals, couples, families, and groups in front of the colorful murals.
“I wanted to create an experience that helps people see Carolina Beach through a different lens,” said Cannistraci. “Guests leave not only with beautiful photos, but with a deeper appreciation for the art, the artists, and the stories that make our community so special.”
A portion of every ticket sold supports the Carolina Beach Mural Project. The tour is free for children ages 10 and under.
The Carolina Beach Mural Photo Tour is now booking on Viator.
