New Year’s Eve events in Wilmington area

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Looking for things to do in and around Wilmington on New Year’s Eve? Check out the following events happening around town. All events will be held Saturday.

9 a.m.-Noon:  The Children’s Museum of Wilmington will be holding a New Year’s Noon Event. Children will be able to make a party crown, steamer sticks, glittery slime, and more, as well as toss confetti and toast the new year with juice. FREE with general admission and membership.

6 p.m.-9:30 p.m.: TheatreNOW will host a Bachannalia dinner show. Guest tickets will include a multi-course tasting meal, party favors, and a variety act featuring live music, fire performers, aerialists, and comedy. The night will conclude with a champagne toast. $90 individual/$170 couple. Purchase tickets here.

7 p.m.-1 a.m.: Wilmington beer and wine store Fermental will host a New Year’s Eve Celebration featuring live music with Kyle Lindley, Sean Richardson, the Zany Pose Duo, and food from the Goin’ Ham Burger Truck. FREE.

9 p.m.: Waterline Brewing Company will host a Prohibition-Era themed New Year’s party. Guests are encouraged to dress like the 1920’s. Will feature live music by the Justin Cody Fox Trio and a midnight champagne toast. FREE.

9 p.m.: The Island of Lights New Year’s Eve Celebration will be held at the Kure Beach Ocean Front Park. The event will feature a DJ, dancing, refreshments, party favors, a raffle, fireworks, and giant beach ball drop. Family-friendly and FREE.

9:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.: Bourgie Nights, a local bar-and-lounge, will host a New Year’s Eve event. There will be live music by Rayland Baxter and Sean Thomas Gerard. $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Purchase tickets here.

10 p.m.: Wild Wing Café’s Wilmington location will hold a New Year’s Eve party featuring party/dance band Port City Shakedown. Check out their song list here. FREE.

10:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.: The Winner Princess Party Boat Fleet will hold a New Year’s Eve Boat Cruise. The event will feature a dance party, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $25 per person; reserve your place here.
