New holiday traditions take shape at Enchanted Airlie
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — For many in Wilmington it wouldn’t be Christmas without a holiday visit to Airlie Gardens. Everyone’s favorite garden becomes Santa’s playland as it transforms into Enchanted Airlie for the holidays.
One big change this year is the Lego village. Thousands of the colorful building blocks come alive as a city with buildings and trains.
There are plenty of traditional displays at the gardens, including the kids garden train and more trains in the poinsettia tent. Plus there are decorations and dozens of lighted trees.
Enchanted Airlie opens Friday and runs through December 21. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit http://www.airliegardens.org/event_detail.asp?id=267.
