Nine months after title win, five Hurricanes expecting babies
RALEIGH (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have something else to show for their Stanley Cup victory last season.
Nine months after the Hurricanes won the NHL title, five current or former Hurricanes couples are about to become parents.
Anne Adams, wife of right wing Craig Adams, says there have been plenty of jokes about how much fun there must have been last summer after the team won the cup. She's expecting the couple's first child in July.
Former Hurricanes forward Kevyn Adams, who was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in January, and his wife Stacey also are expecting in July.
Christy Karmanos and her husband Jason, vice president and assistant general manager of the Hurricanes, are expecting a child in April.
Expecting in June are Jennifer Daniels and husband Jeff, who's an assistant coach.
Only one of the couples — defenseman David Tanabe and wife Katie, who is expecting in May — weren't with the Hurricanes last year.
