NoGravity bringing dance, theater and stage illusions to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — An Italian performing arts company known for combining dance, theater and visual effects is scheduled to perform at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center early next year.
NoGravity will appear at the Wilson Center on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2027, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the venue’s Weird & Wonderful Series.
The Rome-based company was founded in 2005 by artist Emiliano Pellisari. Its performances combine choreography, stage illusions and visual design, with influences drawn from Renaissance and Baroque art.
The company’s dance cast has been led since 2010 by performer Mariana Porceddu, who became a co-author of NoGravity’s choreography in 2012.
NoGravity performs internationally and is supported by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, according to the Wilson Center.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public Thursday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. The Wilson Center is also offering $20 tickets for children and students.
