North Topsail Beach officials warn swimmers about dangers of New River Inlet
NORTH TOPSAIL BEACH, NC (WCTI) — As summer crowds return to Eastern North Carolina beaches, North Topsail Beach officials are reminding residents and visitors to stay alert in the water and avoid swimming near the New River Inlet.
The warning comes following the death of 24-year-old Marquest Page Jr., who drowned earlier this month while attempting to save his stepdaughter at the inlet.
