Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center to host free community baby shower

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Families across Brunswick County are invited to a free community baby shower this weekend hosted by Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, offering essential supplies and resources for new and expectant mothers.

The event will take place Saturday, May 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the hospital’s parking lot and will be held rain or shine.

Organizers say attendees can receive a range of baby essentials, including clothing, diapers, toys and toiletries. Families will also have the opportunity to choose a larger item—such as a stroller, car seat or portable playpen–while supplies last.

In addition to material support, the event will feature educational resources focused on breastfeeding and car seat safety. Local nonprofit organizations will also be on site to provide information about additional services and programs available to families in the community.

The annual baby shower is designed to help ease the transition into parenthood while connecting families with valuable local support networks.

The event is free and open to the public.
