One dead after motorcycle crash in Columbus County
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a car along Highway 74 in Columbus County.
According to Sgt. W.B. Ezzell with Highway Patrol, the call came in at 9:59 p.m. Wednesday night.
Sgt. Ezzell says a 2000 Honda was trying to make a left turn onto US 74 near Bolton when it hit a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle driving at a high speed.
The driver of the motorcycle was Preston Sean Freeman, 25, of Gibsonville. He died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the car was Tresean Alonzo Daniels, of Riegelwood. There is no word on his injures.
