One person hurt as Wilmington Police investigate shots fired incident
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that happened Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:25 pm, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1000 block of South 7th Street.
Once there, officers found shell casings on the ground.
A person who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident was able to transport themselves to the hospital to get treatment.
Wilmington Police are still trying to find out more details about the shooting.
