Online reservations help fill state park camping
If you’re hoping to camp at a state park next year, you might want to start planning now. More than half of North Carolina’s state park campsites have been booked through 2010 thanks to a revamped internet-based registration system.
The new system eliminates the tradition of standing in long lines at popular state parks on new year’s day for a reservation. Last year nearly 13-million people visited North Carolina’s state parks and recreation areas.
