ONLY ON 3: Downtown Wilmington sees surge in new business

New Hanover County, NC (WWAY) — New Businesses are finding their home in Downtown Wilmington.

If you go walking downtown Wilmington these days, you may notice a boom in business. Many business owners are deciding to rent downtown buildings instead of moving into malls and shopping centers. Business owners say that the decision to make the move comes from a desire for a more “personal and charming” experience. Two new retail businesses have recently joined the downtown scene, “Downtown Darlings” and “Uptown”; Both businesses look forward to how the charm of downtown will impact their shops.

Although some downtown building spaces are still available for rent, downtown Wilmington has certainly felt a surge of new neighbors and it appears that the trend will continue.
