Pender Correctional Institution to hold hiring event Aug. 18
BURGAW, NC — The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is holding a hiring event next week for people interested in becoming correctional officers at Pender Correctional Institution.
The event will take place Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the facility in Burgaw.
Both full-time and part-time correctional officer positions are available. The department says candidates hired for full-time positions may be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
Applicants can apply online or in person and are encouraged to come prepared for an interview.
